The name Rock Hill Hideaway is more than just a peaceful-sounding retreat — it is a tribute to the roots and rich history of West Mount Cotton.
The original first home built in West Mount Cotton was known as “Rock Hill” — a humble yet proud homestead that stood as a symbol of resilience, community, and connection to the land. That early home helped lay the foundations of life in this part of the Redlands, and its name lives on as a reminder of the pioneering families who settled here and shaped the landscape into what it is today.
By naming our cabins Rock Hill Hideaway, we honour this early history while creating a modern retreat that reflects the same spirit of simplicity, warmth, and sanctuary in nature. Tucked into the hillside and surrounded by bushland, our hideaway invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — just as those who first called this land home once did.
